On the 26th March 2011 approx. 500,000 people from all over the country came together on the streets of central London to Condemn the ConDem govt. and there ideologically driven savage cuts to our jobs, services, healthcare, welfare, arts, education, basically anything that isn’t lining the pockets of their multi-millionaire friends. A recession caused by the greed of a privileged few to be paid for by the most needy, poor and vulnerable: ‘We’re all in it together’ they tell us while three-quarters of the cabinet are millionaires, half the Tory Party’s funding comes from the banks and their advisor on austerity measures avoids billions in tax each year .

The lady in question was too frightened to go to the march which is a real shame as she would have found an atmosphere of support and solidarity between all kinds of people united in one cause: To let them know that we will not let them take us down this road without a fight.

These cuts DO NOT need to happen. There are sensible and viable alternatives:
